Billion Pound Budget Black Hole!
Worst performing council in the country! Last of 29!!
I don’t know about you, but if there was a budget black hole to fill at my job I’d be expecting sackings, resignations, cut backs and promises to fix things with a new team of people…
Doesn’t appear to happen at the Highland Council. A few heads of department sign NDAs and get payoffs and early retirement for covering up colossal fraud and widespread mismanagement of public money, also referred to as malfeasance (In public office). If I was £20 short in my accounts at the end of the quarter, heads would roll or I’d be made to stump up the missing cash myself! Even if it wasn’t my fault I would have the shame and decency to make things right.
Under Raymond the rat Bremner, that doesn’t happen. You just investigate, find nothing, cover it up, promote your complicit co workers and life carries on. It is no coincidence the roads in the Highlands are worse than the third world! It’s embarrassing for locals and visitors to the region to see the condition of the roads, where repairs are bodged they aren’t painted leaving roads unsafe for months at a time! If you damage your car then you can be rest assured they’ll take as long as they want to offer you compensation. That is. If you can prove it and if you know how to FOI the traffic reports, roads conditions etc in order to build your case through FOI. Which they will stifle and do their best not to answer and or obfuscate.
A billion pounds is a hell of a lot of money missing. From around 2018/19 the council ran a deficit of £450m and it has increased year on year as senior council employees siphon off cash to their corrupt pals and contractors stealing form the public purse and there are no repercussions.
We are calling out Brown, Leckie, Gunn, MacLeod, Bremner and co for being incompetent, corrupt and covering us massive widespread fraud across all council departments!
