Despite there being very clear guidance on use of Social Media by Highland Council employees, it seems the convenor himself is incapable of following them. He regularly breaches GDPR and thinks likes and hi5s on facebook is an acceptable replacement for actually helping local people or replying to emails from his own official email account. As both a local councillor and leader of the council he is paid to represent and help local people. Not boost his fragile ego with facebook likes.
His particular behaviour online is most questionable, much like his search history, you’d not want it read back to you or highlighted for fear of embarrassment or shame at the very least.
Recently he has taken to blocking multiple constituents who don’t go along with his sycophantic rants and boastful posts about his magnificent work on filling potholes. He has a particular fondness for blocking women and heterosexual white males and shows himself up to be even more obnoxious, rude, arrogant and chauvinist than he is in real life!
All the while he has nothing to say about the decade long fraud in the road’s department within Caithness and beyond which has seen the HC spend over £1.1m on an investigation into their theft and malfeasance and bizarrely found nothing wrong.
2 staff were suspended on FULL PAY for over 18 months whilst this was investigated which begs the question;
Do HC employ corrupt ex cops to investigate corporate fraud in order to find wrongdoing?
Or do they employ incompetent cops who are not capable of finding shoes in a shoebox in a shoe shop attached to a warehouse of shoes made by the factory above??
It’s a wonderful question and the answers are many and varied.
