Despite agreeing that HC Planning had “wrongly advised” them in their initial application and given “assurances” of help, Craig Wilson lied and did not do as he had promised. They were left with no other option than to pull their planning application and ask for a refund of fees which HC had held for over 9 months.
This shows a clear abuse of power, and an inaction amongst planning and senior council staff stopping inward investment in the community. Stopping people coming to the town of Wick to stay longer and really showcase the hospitality sector to visitors. We are so sad to report this story.
